Generosity means that you sacrifice something for the sake of others without any thought of reward or repayment. You have the mentality to be happy by seeing other people benefitting from your generosity. By doing so, you develop four divine abodes (Four Brahma Vihara).
- Loving-Kindness (Metta)
- Compassion (Karuna)
- Sympathetic Joy (Mudita)
- Equanimity (Upekkha)
This is your spiritual growth. We all work to achieve a successful spiritual growth that can liberate us from suffering. The Buddha encourages us to practice these divine abodes and kind, generous actions.
You can be generous in various ways. You can give money, your time, your knowledge, your effort, your service, etc.
We believe that we are responsible for our actions. If we make good actions that bring happiness to us, that is called Karmic reaction.
So, we have the opportunity to help each other by learning how to work mindfully and create a strong relationship with Sangha.
From generous service at Sunshine Meditation Center, we appreciate your valuable time and service, not full time but whenever you are able to.
We need your help with:
- Lawn care
